Young Writer's Workshop: Exploring Memory and Emotion

This event is being sponsored and hosted by Write253 and the Tacoma Public Library and the information was passed along to me by Cassandra (thank you!).

From their website:

"Series Title - Writing Fantasy: Using your everyday life to inform fantastical ideas.

Use your own life and experiences as tools to generate ideas for fantasy, sci-fi, and speculative fiction writing. Each workshop will focus on different elements of experience in fiction writing: character, setting, emotion, and memory. Great for beginning, novice, or experienced writers. Suitable for 5th to 12th grade.

Series Dates and Focus:
June 25 - Character Development (found out about this one after it was over, sorry!)
July 16 - Setting (this was previously posted)
August 20 - Exploring Memory and Emotion.

Online event using Zoom. Registration is required for each login. Registrants will receive a zoom link via email one hour prior to the event."

To see this and perhaps help the school aged writer you know register, please visit the event's direct link here.  The young writer may need a Tacoma Library Card to register.

As of July 10th, it shows there are 11 seats remaining for the workshop, so if you know someone with a budding or practicing writer who might be interested, please pass the information along so they don't miss out.

Also, Sockmonkeys, if you know of any online writing workshops or events coming up that you think other Sockmonkey writers might be interested in, please, forward the relevant link and information to the Sockmonkey email PCSockmonkeyWriters@gmail.com and I'll be sure to post it.
