Hello Sockmonkeys!
It's really hard to believe it's November already, but here we are. I'm not sure how many of you are participating in either the traditional 50K words in 30 days challenge or if you've set your own sort of challenge this month, but if you'd like to write with some other local writers either virtually or in person, here is a short list of the events coming up next week. You are also more than welcome to sprint with Sprinto the bot on our Discord server or to check there for any events that other community members decide to host throughout the month. One of our members has also posted a TrackBear link, if you'd like to join that to check your progress against other Sockmonkeys. (If you're not in our Discord but would like the link, please send an email to the pcsockmonkeywriters email address and I'll send it to you.)
***I put the asterisks next to this Zoom event on the graphic because I was waiting to hear from the host if this was still ongoing. It is. If you need the link, it is posted in our Discord or you can email the Sockmonkey email address and I'd be happy to share it with you. They meet weekly.
While it started during NaNoWriMo, it has been a fun tradition, and you don't have to be participating in a writing challenge to join us, the Midway Pie Day and Mug Exchange Potluck is open to all. I will create a separate post soon to make the details easier to find but for now please know it will be held:
Saturday, November 14th, 2026 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Graham Pierce County Library.
I do hope you'll join us for some or all of the event!
Also, don't forget to join Jen aka jexx at the Electric Coffee House in Sumner on Sunday, November 15th from 3 - 6 p.m. for some coffee shop ambiance while you write.
Finally, please save Saturday, December 5th from 1 - 3 p.m. and plan to attend our End of Year Potluck and Blind Book Exchange.
Whether you're tackling a challenge or a new project or not, I do hope that you and yours are well.
