Social Media Graphic for the RebelWriMo Self-care Poll Results Blog Post
Okay, Sockmonkeys,
Time for me to do a little catch up and let you all know the results of the two RebelWriMo Self-care polls we had going, along with bringing some attention to a couple of great self-care posts that were originally posted on the Discord that are also here on the blog.
AintDisco's Discord Self-care Poll results
The question asked was: Do you have a self-care plan for RebelWriMo?
A total of 9 Sockmonkeys voted in the Discord version of the poll. It shows 1 vote for Heck Yeah!, 4 votes for Kinda?, 1 vote for Self care? What's that?, 3 votes for Oh shoot, I forgot! and no votes for See my comment below :). Which means that in this version of the poll, Kinda? wins by one vote.
The Sockmonkey FB group version of the Poll
The Facebook group's question and choices were the same, and the total number who voted was 9, but the results were somewhat different:
Heck yeah! shows 1%, but when I clicked on it I was told there were 0 votes, so not sure what that's about, Kinda? had 3 votes (33%), Self-care? What's that? had 5 votes (55%), Oh shoot. I forgot! had 1 vote (11%), and See my comment below :) didn't have any votes (0%).
That means, with a total of 8 votes between both groups, the winner was "Self-care? What's that?"
Now, as promised above, I will quickly link the two current Self-care posts that can be found elsewhere on the blog, in case you're not in our Discord and might like to read them for some comfort or inspiration.
The first one is dated November 7th, 2024 and is titled Self-Care during moments of great turmoil.
The other one, posted at the end of the first full week of RebelWriMo is titled Happy one week!
Both of these posts were written and shared by member AintDisco, who has graciously stepped up to help with not only running a few Discord write-ins each week in November, but is also creating the self-care content for our Discord (and this blog) during RebelWriMo. I'm very thankful for her enthusiastic assistance!
Now please, no matter what you're working on this month, be sure to take some time out to give your mind and body a break. Fuel your physical and creative tank a bit and come back to your project refreshed.
Top Image: Yellow/beige background with a pink mug that has a white heart on it, brown liquid in it and wavy blue steam marks above it in the center of the post. The top of the post reads: Sockmonkey Writer RebelWriMo Self-Care Poll Results on the blog! Under that are the words Fill Your Cup and surrounding the mug are seven swirly arrows that point at the mug and have text next to them. That text reads, clockwise from the upper right: slow down, go for a walk, make time to play, be creative, get some fresh air, write in a journal and meditate. The PCSockmonkey Writers logo with Polly Esther and Pierson is in the lower right corner.
